You may have questions prior to beginning therapy. Should you have further questions, or to see if we are a good fit call me at (512) 766-9702 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
How much do you charge for a counseling session?
My fee for a 50-Minute counseling session is $130. For couple and family sessions, I recommend an 80-minute session so we have more time to explore dynamics and content that each member of the couple and family would like to discuss. I charge $160 for an 80-minute session. If you are interested in EMDR, you may also want to book an extended session.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept payment by cash, check, or credit card.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, I only accept private pay, however your insurance may still cover sessions. I can create a superbill for you to submit to your insurance in hopes of getting our sessions covered. Please note, it is up to your insurance company to accept or deny coverage via superbill.
Do you offer sliding scale payment?
I believe counseling should be accessible and available to those who need it. I understand high fees can be intimidating and deter some folks from seeking counseling. While I do hold some sliding scale time slots, at this time my sliding scale openings are full.
What are your office hours?
I typically keep a 9AM-7PM weekday schedule. If you are in need of an evening or early morning appointment, please inquire. I do my best to work with the scheduling needs of clients. At this time, I'm not offering weekend appointments.
I'm eager to get started, how soon can I book an appointment?
If you're scheduling on-line, I require 24 hours advanced booking and payment to be made ahead of the appointment to reserve your spot. If you're looking to get in sooner than 24-hours in advance, it is best to call to reserve your spot.
What is the cancellation policy?
Scheduled appointments must be cancelled 24 hours in advance or the full session fee will be charged.
I can't make it to the office, do you offer telehealth?
Yes! I'm excited to offer telehealth or distance counseling services for those who can't make it to the office. With one of my areas of expertise being new parenthood, I understand the difficulties of making it to my office. While face-to-face counseling is the preferred medium, I'm happy to offer face-to-face counseling via computer screen. I have a HIPAA compliant, secure system to best communicate with my distance clients. While my telehealth technology is far reaching, I am only able to serve those located in Texas due to Texas licensure.
I think we'd be a good fit, but I want to be sure, do you offer a free consultation?
Yes! Choosing a therapist is a big deal. I want you to feel safe, secure, and confident in your decision to work with me. I also want to make sure I can best serve your needs. I offer a 15-minute phone consultation where you are able to ask me further questions and see what therapy with me might be like so we can both feel good about our decision to work together!
