I am so excited to be a featured panelist for this years' BossBabes ATX Community Caucus. The community caucus includes non-profits and thought leaders in the Austin area who will be sharing ideas as well as their own stories.
I will be moderating a panel titled "On Self Care and Social Justice." In this panel, we will discuss wellness in relation to activism. During our current political climate, activism feels extremely urgent. There is always something we can be doing to promote change. This feeling of urgency and purpose can cause us to overlook our wellness needs. It is important to remember, that when we overlook our self care needs, it can lead to burnout. This panel will bring awareness to how activists can better care for themselves while caring about their causes.
I hope you'll join me for the other amazing panels and talks including "What Does Inclusivity Look Like," "Impacting Fashion: Austin's Role in Changing the Industry for Good," and "Depression and Anxiety: Combating the Superwoman Syndrome."
February 15th from 6-9PM at the Austin Public Library $10
